Reaching the University of Wolverhampton's Springfield Campus is convenient via various modes of transport. It is a 10-15-minute walk from Wolverhampton city centre. Wolverhampton Train Station is approximately a 7-minute walk from Springfield Campus. It lies on major rail lines connecting cities like Birmingham, London, Manchester, Liverpool, and Edinburgh.
Major UK cities are connected via the National Express coach service as a cheap alternative to trains. There are few direct coaches to Wolverhampton. Springfield Campus is about a 9-minute walk from Wolverhampton Coach Station. Coaches to Birmingham operate more frequently to Birmingham Coach Station, which is a 20-minute walk from Birmingham New Street station. From Birmingham New Street, there are frequent trains to Wolverhampton as well as a direct tram connection operated by West Midlands Metro.
For train travel, utilise National Rail to check train times and book tickets. Please note that trains in the UK are operated by different private providers, which means tickets might not be valid on all trains. Wolverhampton train station is usually served by West Midlands Railway, Avanti West Coast, CrossCountry and Transport for Wales.
Birmingham International Airport (BHX): Take a train from Birmingham International Station to Wolverhampton, typically with a change at Birmingham New Street (but direct trains are available).
Manchester Airport (MAN): Board a train to Manchester Piccadilly, then transfer to a service heading to Wolverhampton.
London Heathrow Airport (LHR): Use the Heathrow Express to London Paddington, then the Underground to London Euston, followed by a train to Wolverhampton.
Note: National Express also operates direct coach services from these airports to Wolverhampton.
