ELSA-AI Travel Support

ELSA-AI is providing support for travel and accommodation to PhD students, postdocs and experienced researchers from sending institution based in Europe or in a country associated to Horizon Europe. Please read the instructions carefully before booking your travels:

Elgibility

Applicants must fulfill two out of three of the following conditions:

1. All European AI PhDs/postdocs. Before submission, please check whether your sending institution is located in the EU or an EU associated country 

2. The exchange is supported by at least one advisor in the ELSA network (either sending or hosting institution). Both advisors must be ELLIS Members while one of them must be an ELLIS Fellow/Scholar (http://ellis.eu/fellows) or Unit Faculty (https://ellis.eu/sites)

3. You are travelling to an ELSA/ELLIS event or workshop.

Unless you or your supervisor are ELLIS members, very likely conditions 1 and 3 will apply if you are based in the EU or an EU associated country.

When filling the form

• You can leave the  "ELSA fellow/scholar/member” (in the experienced researchrs form) or the "ELSA Partner Institute" (in the PhD/Postdoc form) part blank if this doesn't apply to you or your supervisor

• Name of event: "ELLIS ESSSIR Summer School on Information Retrieval”

• Purpose of Travel: Tick "Document Intelligence". You don't have to select any work packages. You need to describe the added value and objectives of your travel.
